Black Winter 04:08
Well it rained all night Then suddenly froze over And the day broke dark Without the cover of snow We could hear them coming But could only see their shadows Shots rang out of the towers They were scattering the crows Some fell out of the sky But most of them swarmed over And it happened so fast There was no time to take cover And the lights from our hearths Were snuffed out one by one And the day broke dark Under cover of crow

Liquid Gold 02:32
Kettle on the stovetop, fire down low Warming the whole kitchen with the light of liquid gold We can't wait to taste it, and we can't wait to hold A bowl of pure warmth we like to call liquid gold Gather all around friends, warm your bones Feel the love simmer off a pot of liquid gold Then grab yourself a hornful, and drink it down low And we'll live long enough to enjoy our liquid gold No I don't care much about growing old So long as I have my own pot of liquid gold So keep the fire burning, but keep it down low And we'll live long enough to enjoy our liquid gold

about

it's here. a song-cycle influenced by the blackest winters of recent memory. an album envisioned and revisioned twice over. Mostly hi-fi this time. The Fool was eventually convinced this would be worth doing.

Wicker Folk.

Sort of a Goblin Hovel side project, if I'm going to name drop. It was the banjo player all along.
